Welcome to my portfolio.

Hi there. I'm J Morgan (just “Morgan” is A-ok). My parents named me with the hope that I'd become the first female president of the United States—thus the “gender-neutral, yet firm” sensibility. Needless to say, my decision to go to art school came as quite the shock.

I'm a strategic creative director, advertising copywriter, and illustrator currently living, working, and raising my family in Greenville, SC. I got my start in the nonprofit field with in-house marketing for an Arts Organization, but after a couple of years I followed my dreams at the Savannah College of Art and Design, eventually walking with a M.A. in Advertising and a chunk of student loan debt.

Following a few years at a big agency in San Diego (2014-2017), I moved back to the Southeast that I love and joined the fam at cool, creative + award-winning agency FerebeeLane, where I helped grow a diverse portfolio of brands until going freelance in March of 2021. In addition to working on big names like Le Creuset, Milliken, Michelin, Mayo Clinic, Caesar’s Entertainment, Mary Kay, Kamado Joe and so many more, I do editorial and illustration work for local community groups, nonprofits and start-ups.

Oh—I also helped my family launch and grow an arts nonprofit, Good Art Co., from the ground up, building the brand and marketing plan from scratch. It’s crushing it and changing lives.

I delight in all genres of copywriting and creation, bleed ink and attempt to bring cheer to everyone I meet. I love using humor and emotion to weave lasting stories that connect people with their passions, their potential and their communities. Oh and, pizza, beer, Star Wars, animals, the arts, environmental activism, noodles… you know, the stuff worth living for.

Say hi sometime.
